Tanja shared her story with us, saying, “Poldi, our little owl, is now 1.5 years old. I got him when he was just five months old. He was quite the reluctant hatchling, refusing to come out of his egg, and he happened to be the smallest of the lot. He was the last to be born, several days after his six sisters had hatched. It was clear that he was a bit of a runt. In addition to Poldi, I also have a Harris Hawk named Phoenix, a Great Grey Owl named Gandalf, and a Snow Owl named Uschi.”
