Rescued Street Dog Transforms into Official Mascot of Military Police Unit

Touched by his predicament, the police made the compassionate decision to welcome him within the premises of the battalion. The puppy was embraced with affection and care, and he experienced happiness for the very first time.

His health issues and injuries were attended to diligently. He received nourishing meals, soothing baths, and, most importantly, abundant love from all quarters. Gradually, his health improved, and his sense of confinement diminished. He grew more open, shedding the trauma of potential mistreatment he might have endured in his past.

In due course, the little dog became an integral part of the troop, a symbolic figure. He displayed increasing docility, astonishing everyone with his seamless integration into the corporation’s routines.

“As he was now considered one of us, a soldier, he needed a name that resonated. And what if we playfully christened him with a human name? A departure from the conventional canine nomenclature – thus he became Oliveira, or Cabo Oliveira,” penned Thiago Damasceno, the individual who shared the dog’s remarkable journey.

Cabo Oliveira took the social media platforms by storm, amassing a following throughout the state of Rio de Janeiro. “Oliveira is the moniker of this being who infuses vibrancy and light into the days of those who cross paths with the battalion. He captures canine hearts and stands as our mascot!” Thiago exclaimed.

Recently, this diminutive canine companion was even present at a graduation ceremony, standing alongside two sub-lieutenants to receive well-deserved accolades.
