Astonishment reverberated through the air as he weighed the fish—a staggering 400 pounds, equivalent to 28.5 stone. It was then that he realized he had accomplished something truly extraordinary: securing the distinction of capturing the largest halibut of its species ever known to be caught by a British angler.
