NASA Declares Official “War” on UFOs

UFO is no longer a hoax or a rumor. Recently, the United States National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) has officially formed a group of scientists to investigate the “unidentified phenomena in the sky”.

An announcement from NASA stated that they will officially establish a research group to analyze all evidence and develop methods and tools for collecting data to understand the mysteries of unidentified flying objects (UFOs).

This has been a topic that has long attracted public interest and recently received high attention from the United States Congress. The UFO hunting project will begin in early autumn this year and last for about 9 months.

The project focuses on identifying available data, exploring ways to collect additional data in the future, and how NASA can analyze the discoveries to change scientific understanding.

Scientists will examine relevant data from cases of unidentified aerial phenomena (UAP), investigate how to best capture UAP, and determine how to use new information to enhance understanding of these mysterious objects.

The new NASA research will be directed and coordinated by astrophysicist David Spergel and assisted by Daniel Evans in NASA’s Science Mission Directorate.

“Over many decades, NASA has responded to the call to solve some of the most enigmatic mysteries we know,” Daniel Evans shared with the media.

NASA will allocate “around tens of thousands of dollars” up to $100,000 for this effort, according to Evans.

“Due to the rarity of observations, our first task is to gather as much data as possible,” Spergel shared.

“We will categorize data from civilians, governments, non-profit organizations, and companies—anything we can collect—and find the best ways to analyze it.”

According to NASA’s Associate Administrator for the Science Mission Directorate, Thomas Zurbuchen, with access to various scientific tools, NASA not only has the resources to shed light on UFOs and enhance scientific understanding but also seeks ways to minimize this phenomenon.

NASA’s involvement in the Pentagon’s efforts indicates that U.S. officials acknowledge the phenomena related to UFOs.

Last month, the U.S. Congress held its first public hearing on UFOs in five decades, and officials from the Pentagon provided information on nearly 400 UFO sightings.
