Danish actress Brigitte Nielsen gave birth at the age of 55 and fortunately her 5th child was so welcomed by netizens (video included)

Brigitte Nielsen’s heart had longed for her “little princess” for over a decade, and finally, after countless attempts, she held her precious baby girl, Frida, in her arms. The Danish actress stunned the world with her announcement on social media that, at the age of 54, she was expecting her fifth child. A mere four weeks later, on June 22, she gave birth to her bundle of joy.

After more than ten years of trying to conceive using IVF, Nielsen and her 39-year-old Italian model husband, Mattia Dessi, are overjoyed with their new arrival. Nielsen, now 55, said, “She was healthy and beautiful. I got everything I wanted.”

However, Nielsen’s journey to motherhood was far from easy. At 40, while going through a divorce from her fourth husband, Raoul Meyer, Nielsen met Dessi, who is 15 years younger than her. They quickly fell in love and began planning for their future, which included freezing her eggs and starting the IVF process.

“There was a lot of frustration,” Nielsen said. “It was the phone call, ‘It’s negative.’ That is the wait. You can feel lonely sometimes because many women don’t talk to each other about it.”

Despite raising four sons from previous relationships, Nielsen admits that she will be a different kind of mother to Frida. She had her first son, Julian, at the age of 20, and now, with the wisdom that comes with age, she feels more capable and fearless.

Nielsen had an easy pregnancy and a smooth delivery by cesarean section, and now, she is relishing her first few weeks as a mother to her “little princess.” “Being a mother is the best thing in the world,” she said.
