Best friends take in 19-year-old shelter dog and are making her last days magical

Lauren Siler, a resident of Dallas, Texas, has recently made headlines for her heartwarming act of kindness towards a shelter dog named Annie. Siler and her best friend took in the 19-year-old dog, who was suffering from various health issues and may not have much time left, and are dedicated to making her last days as comfortable and magical as possible.

Annie, a small terrier mix, had spent most of her life in a shelter and was not expected to be adopted due to her age and health problems. When Siler and her friend saw a post about Annie on social media, they knew they had to do something to help.

Despite having two dogs of their own, Siler and her friend immediately reached out to the shelter and arranged to take Annie in as a foster dog. They were prepared to provide her with the best possible care, including medical treatment, plenty of love and attention, and all the comforts of home.

Since taking in Annie, Siler and her friend have been documenting their adventures together on social media, sharing photos and videos of Annie enjoying all sorts of new experiences. From trips to the beach and the park to snuggling up on the couch for a movie night, Annie is getting to live her best life thanks to the kindness of these two women.

Siler says that she and her friend are simply doing what they can to give back to the animal community, and that they hope others will be inspired to do the same. “We believe that every dog deserves to feel loved and to have a family, no matter how old or sick they may be,” she says. “Annie has brought so much joy and love into our lives, and we’re grateful for every moment we get to spend with her.”

As Annie’s health continues to decline, Siler and her friend are doing everything they can to make her last days as comfortable and happy as possible. They hope that their story will inspire others to consider fostering or adopting an older or sick animal, and to make a difference in the lives of animals in need.
