Aussie Crocodile Wrangler Captures Monstrous Five-Metre Predator Named Rex that had been Eating Cows on an Outback Property

Matt Wright, the host of the popular National Geographic show ‘Outback Wrangler,’ has successfully captured and relocated a colossal five-metre crocodile that had been preying on a farmer’s cattle in the Northern Territory.

The daring crocodile wrangler, Matt Wright, proudly posed for a photo next to the restrained crocodile, whose fearsome reputation earned it the affectionate nickname Rex among his fans. Despite missing a significant portion of its tail, Rex measured an astonishing 5.1 meters in length.

The aggressive crocodile had been causing havoc by feasting on cows on the property in the Northern Territory. In response to the farmer’s distress, Matt Wright took swift action to ensure the safety of both the livestock and the local community. He relocated the massive reptile to his own farm, providing it with a secure and comfortable new home.

The photograph shows the captured crocodile on a trailer, with its face concealed by a blanket and its mouth securely taped shut. Its powerful tail and jaws were restrained using ropes, and to prevent any harm during transportation, the body was carefully placed on top of an old mattress.

To share this remarkable event with his audience, Mr Wright uploaded a video of the crocodile being released onto his property. He expressed his motivation for undertaking such risky work, emphasizing the importance of coexistence between animals and humans. When dangerous crocodiles threaten people or livestock, he is often called upon to capture and relocate them, thus allowing the creatures to live long and fulfilling lives instead of being destroyed.

Matt Wright also highlighted the educational value of his endeavors. By enabling people to witness these magnificent animals up close, he believes they can develop a deeper understanding of this unique species and recognize the significance of their existence.

The immense size of the captured crocodile left social media users astounded. Some expressed their disbelief, exclaiming, “I’m sorry. What the actual f***?” Others resorted to humor, comparing the prehistoric reptile to a dinosaur or jokingly suggesting that it had escaped from Jurassic Park.

Matt Wright, an experienced helicopter pilot and wildlife relocator, is renowned for his daring exploits in the Australian Outback. Aside from ‘Outback Wrangler,’ he stars in his new show, ‘Monster Croc Wrangler,’ where he continues to encounter and capture large and formidable creatures.

With his unwavering dedication to animal conservation and public education, Matt Wright has earned the admiration of many as he fearlessly protects both wildlife and humans in the fascinating and treacherous world of Australia’s Outback.
