A story every day: A single mother of 3 children has successfully brought miracles to the children

At just 22 years old, Latifah found herself unexpectedly pregnant with triplets. However, her journey took a difficult turn when, at only 22 weeks pregnant, her cervix began to open, indicating the onset of pre-term labor. With her babies too small and underdeveloped to survive, Latifah faced a heart-wrenching choice between letting nature take its course or intervening to save the pregnancy.

Opting for a high-risk procedure called cervical cerclage, where the cervix is stitched shut to prevent labor and prolong the pregnancy, Latifah underwent the surgery. The procedure proved successful, and her triplets were born healthy at 30 weeks.

Recently, we caught up with Latifah, who reflected on the past twelve months. She shared the challenges she faced in establishing a routine and finding time for herself amidst the responsibilities of caring for her children. However, she acknowledged that as time goes by, it does get easier.

Latifah’s journey took an additional twist when one of her daughters, Za’lahni, was diagnosed with infantile spasms, impacting her development. Despite the challenges, Za’lahni’s determination to emulate her siblings, Ah’zari and Zeh’rai, shines through as she observes and tries to do things alongside them.
